Selection Criteria:
Applicants MUST be great at working with young children – from babies to kinder age - and have a bubbly, vibrant personality
Be able to work to a schedule and deadline while under pressure
Have a current Working With Children Check, or are able to get one.
Have appropriate photography equipment. At a minimum, this would include a professional DSLR, 24-70mm f/2.8, a TTL/ETTL hotshoe flash, and a tripod
Have a capable computer, internet connection, and be proficient working with photos on a computer, using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
Have a reliable vehicle and a current Victorian licence
Be relatively fit, healthy and active. This job can be physically demanding.
Be a permanent resident in Victoria/Melbourne Metro area
This job will suit persons wanting either part time or full time work hours and workload is semi-flexible. 5 mornings a week would be required and more hours are possible. There is a 2.5 month break over the Christmas period each year. Our bookings are firm and planned well in advance. The successful applicants will preferably be experienced in this field of photography and are looking for a change or seeking more work. You would be required to travel around metropolitan Melbourne and occasionally, regionally (with compensation). We are looking for 2 or 3 photographers in metropolitan areas. Stage 1 – we will receive applications, including CVs. Please outline your experience, equipment, availability and suitability for the role. Please note our criteria above while doing so.
Stage 2 – we will collate and draw up an applicant list for a brief phone interview. Following these phone interviews, we will prepare a short-list and hold face-to-face personal interviews.
Stage 3 – we will select the successful applicants and begin training/orientation.
