Ready to take the first step to grow & future proof your photography business?
Building and growing a successful photography company is easier said than done, especially when you are a one man band or one women show trying to catch up or compete with the thousands of other photographers out their.
So where do you start and what do you focus on?
It has taken a lot of mistakes and years for me to make it as an entenpenue in the photography industry.
Early on, my biggest mistake was not treating my Photography as a real business.
As you probably read in one of my earlier emails, I always ask mentoring students and photography business's a simple question:
Is doing what you are doing now sustainable until retirement and are you currently living the life you desire with financial freedom, happiness and time to do the things you want to?
When I asked that of myself, the answer was 'no'. So I decided to do something about it...
I grew my wedding and portrait photography business using a four pillar marketing strategy including:
It took me a little while to figure out, but what happens if one of the pillars fall?
Just like a chair with 4 legs and one of them is broken, the chair starts to get wobbly and unstable, just as my business did when paid advertising wasn't working well.
So I started to focus on the clients that I have and how I could increase my revenue from each client.
At the same time, I also had my big 'AHA' moment
As I was using the four pillars for marketing, why couldn't I use the same strategy to futureproof my business by adding an additional revenue stream.
My revenue streams already consisted of wedding & portrait photography and by adding high volume photography to my business, I was able to create an extremely robust business model that also inherently included a self perpetuating marketing machine.
'Hey Glen, what is a self perpetuating marketing machine'... Glad you asked!
I am referring to the all the priceless data (names, emails, numbers) that is collected in all three business streams and cross marketing between each business stream.
High Volume Photography - All parents data of school kids, kinder kids, sports club kids etc
Wedding Jobs - Bride/Groom data and all wedding guests data (If you read my ebook, you will know how this is done)
Portraits - Portrait Clients data
Are you now beginning to see the power of growing your lists and using them...?
You can even build a fourth revenue stream by using your list to create automated marketing campaigns to sell your prints all year round.
Even one step further, using the Netlife solution, the consumer (your customers) can even upload their own images to print at any time .
